Yes, I saw that too ; but this demo is very specific as it uses a 
cirecular 64 KB block of memory to load data from the disk, with very 
strict timings. I guess changing too much the FDC speed has this side 
effect.

I don't think he wants to use a floppy ; it's that the falcon boots much 
slower on HD if no disk is present in drive A.
