What exactly means mirrored?

Ubuntu 10.10 as in Gnome v2 desktop?
I'd file a bug against Ubuntu (or Gnome if Ubuntu is using standard Gnome
window manager), seems like their window manager is buggy. I would expect
same issue with other SDL programs too.

Other fullscreen SDL programs work fine with your dual head setup?

If you're not willing to do it yourself, then you need to find somebody
to do it for you...
