just to confirm that I did these tests with this tos version (I don't 
think the tos version matters).

I always get immediate response at any of those freq in 50 Hz.
I also get immediate response at 60 Hz.

The only case where I get a delay is when you switch from 50 to 60 Hz 
after the emulator was already started in 50 Hz. This is because Hatari 
doesn't restart audio when frequency is changed (which is something we 
could do, I agree).

But in that case, switching to any other frequency will restart audio 
and correct the delay.

So, once this is restarted, I'm unable to get a delay again under 60 Hz, 
whatever freq I choose (from what I understood, in your case the delay 
remains at 60 Hz, even if you change freq)
