Nope, I don't have the old makefiles anymore, cmake overwrote them.

Hard to say really. My mingw install is a plain one - and yet it still
has  some  problems  because  I installed msys to c:\msys and mingw to
c:\mingw  (I think that mingw should be installed to c:\msys\mingw for
everything  to  function  properly).  As  a result, half the paths and
files  that  are  on  \mingw can't be found by cmake, so I have to run
cmake-gui  and  supply  them by hand (I loathe doing that from command
line).
