Timers might be confused with MFP timers then....
In the past I was also misleaded that int.c had soemthing to do with the
MFP emulation.

cycleEvents sounds reasonable to me.
Maybe add a comment in the file header to make clear it is Hatari
infrastructure and not part of ST device and chips emulation?
