This is really strange, what text editor are you using ? Can't you 
configure it to use iso8859-15 coding (I guess it tries to open the file 
as UTF8).

If we include some localised strings in hatari or things like that, we 
will need to have some accents or others characters, so removing éèà... 
won't be an option :(
